Connecting Seas NorthSEE - Baltic LINes MSP Conference
13 - 14 February 2019

In February 2019 the MSP conference “Connecting Seas” from two INTERREG sister projects “NorthSEE” and “Baltic LINes” will take place on the 13th – 14th February 2019 in Hamburg, Germany. The conference programme will cover topics related on the North Sea and Baltic Sea Region’s experience of dealing with Maritime Spatial Planning, with a focus on shipping, energy and environment.

The Final Conference “Baltic InteGrid: Roadmap for a meshed offshore grid in the Baltic Sea region“ of the Baltic InteGrid project will take place on 26-27 February in Berlin (Germany). It will mark the final milestone and provide a forum for the presentation of the final results and outputs of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region project, which has received a flagship status for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.

BEMIP Stakeholder Workshop in Brussels (Belgium)

The governments of the EU countries bordering the Baltic Sea are currently considering options to support the development of offshore wind in the region through work on the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP). As part of this work, they have commissioned a study to look at, among other things, the potential of offshore wind in the Baltic Sea and the barriers to its development. On March 15th in Brussels, the results of the study will be made public and stakeholders invited to comment on proposals for a future roadmap and workplan.
